Beauty tips for nails
Cut your nails after taking showerWhenever you need to cut your nails, always do it after soaking your fingernails for some time. It will make your nails more pliable and easy to trim without cracking. In case, you don't have time to soak your nails, just cut them after your shower or bath. They'll be perfectly ready to cut. Eat foods rich in vitamin A and calciumIf you are worried of your dry and brittle nails, all you need to do is to increase the intake of food items that are rich in Vitamin A, such as such as apricots, broccoli, carrot and cheese. You should also consume food items like milk, yoghurt, cheese and almonds as these are the sources of calcium. These will help to strengthen your soft nails.
Just like your skin, your nails also get dehydrated. Generally, it happens, if you're using nail polish remover on a regular basis. Every night, before going to bed, wash your hands thoroughly with lukewarm water, wipe them dry with a towel and apply a hand moisturizer. You may also apply petroleum jelly into the cuticle and on the skin surrounding your nails.
Make sure what you are usingChipped nail paint looks worse, so try using a clear polish that gives your nails a smooth, shiny finish and even if it does start chipping. Avoid using an acetone-based or formaldehyde-based nail-polish remover as it makes your nails brittle, rather, stick to a remover that has acetate in it.
• Do not remove cuticles as it can lead to nail infection. Apply some cuticle oil and gently push back the cuticles.• Always file nails in one direction as filing back and forth can cause splits.• Don’t use your finger nails as tools to pick, pluck or scratch things.• Most importantly, drink plenty of water to keep your nails well hydrated.
