Play Stations are a very popular series of video games which have gained large attention from the teenage groups and have resulted in their long hours being invested into this game.

The first console in the series, the PlayStation, was the first video game console to ship 100 million units after 9 years and 6 months of its initial launch. Released in July 2000, concurrently with its successor the PlayStation 2, the PS One was a considerably smaller, redesigned version of the original PlayStation video game console.  Originally launched on July 7, 2000, it went on to outsell all-other consoles including its successor, PlayStation 2, throughout the remainder of the year. It featured two main changes from its predecessor, the first being a cosmetic change to the console and the second being home menu's Graphical User Interface. This first ever console developed and launched by Sony falls in a range starting from  3,133 INR. The PS2 is the best-selling console of all time, having reached over 150 million units sold as of January 31, 2011. This milestone was reached 10 years and 11 months after the system was released in Japan on March 4, 2000. Further, Sony said it currently has 2015 titles available for the system and that 1.52 billion PS2 titles have been sold since launch. In late 2009, with developers creating new games and the console still selling steadily a decade after its original release, Sony stated that the life cycle of the PlayStation 2 will continue until demand ceases. This extremely exciting playstation 2 has its price starting from 8,056 INR. With a sleek look and capable of playing a DVD movie although not a very good movie playing machine it offers the largest library of games. So while it may not be the newest or the most powerful system, it's certainly a safe bet. The elder statesman of next generation consoles, the PlayStation 2 has the luxury of a year's head start and many solid games.Playstation 3 (slim-160 GB) Slimmer, more compact design with quieter operation; all games in high-definition; easy-to-use interface; doubles as a Blu-ray and up scaling DVD player; built-in Wi-Fi; 120GB hard drive; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; built-in Web browser; free online gaming service. Though it lacks backward support for PS2 games; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; online gaming, media, and commerce options still aren't as fully developed as Xbox Live, though they're getting better. This very exquisite product falls under a range starting from 13,206 INR. The slim product is easy to handle and is a more affordable price as compared to the other models in this series. With a smaller design, more energy-efficient operation, lower price tag, and built-in Blu-ray and multimedia capabilities, the PS3 Slim delivers a compelling package for an affordable price.

Swanky design with quiet operation; all games in high-definition; PSP-like easy-to-use interface; plays high-def Profile 2.0 Blu-ray movies in addition to up scaling standard DVDs; built-in Wi-Fi; 40GB hard drive; online play is free; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply.Being a landmark in the playstation series it also offers some drawbacks like it has no flash media reader; can't play PS2 games; doesn't include rumble controller; a USB port on the back would've been nice; no infrared port means non-bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible;glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live. Ranges from 35,768 INR it is a fair deal relating to the features it has to offer. While Sony has cut a few corners to get its entry-level PlayStation 3 below17,907 INR, it's still a great game console and Blu-ray player for the money--so long as you can live without backward compatibility for PS2 games.
