अमेरिका की सबसे मशहूर मैराथनों में शुमार बोस्टन मैराथन के दौरान हुए दो धमाकों में 3 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 100 से ज्यादा लोग इंजर्ड हुए हैं. मंडे को हुए ये धमाके फिनिश लाइन के करीब उस वक्त हुए जब विजेता धावक अपनी रेस पूरी कर रहे थे. दस सेंकेंड के अंतराल 2 बम धमाके हुए. इस हमले में इंजर्ड हुए लोगों को मैराथन के थके प्रतिभागियों के लिए बने स्वास्थ्य शिविर में ले जाया गया.
